In this video, we make the scenic drive on Idaho State Highway 75 Northbound from Ketchum to Stanley via Galena Summit and the Sawtooth Valley. Beginning just north of Ketchum, we head into the forest and up towards Galena Summit at 8,700 feet. Prior to the summit, we get stunning views of Sun Valley to the south. After cresting the summit, spectacular views of the snow-capped Sawtooth Mountains come into view. Along the way, several historic markers are presented in the video. Towards the end of the drive, we stop along the Salmon River and then head into Stanley and finally to Pioneer Park for one last gorgeous view of the Sawtooths!
This drive was record in late June, shortly after a late spring snow storm hit the mountains. Use the chapter markers embedded in the video to jump to a specific point of interest.
